Background

Live laboratories at the interface of arts and neuroscience

L’IMPLORANTE LAB
from the series COGNOISE
Wednesday 8th July 4pm
Friday 10th July 4pm

The artsci lab L’Implorante consists of a noisy behavioral and cognitive network, established through theatrical performance, live abstract painting and electronic music concert, combined to classical neurophysiological approaches, represented by electrodermal and eletroencephalografic recordings directly obtained from performers, and complemented by subjective impressions. The purpose is to merge, at the same level, the subjective and the objective, contemporary artists and scientists in pursuit of the neurobiological foundations of human experience. We will exercise in these settings the potential to inspire and propose innovative approaches to address scientific claims for an embodied emotional and affective cognition in charge of the human creative behaviour.
